  6. Adoption: Achieves value from product
  7. Retention: Continues as satisfied customer
  8. Expansion: Purchases additional products/services

Journey Mapping

Journey mapping visualizes the customer experience by identifying all touchpoints, documenting customer goals at each stage, noting pain points and emotions, highlighting opportunities for improvement, and assigning ownership to teams.

Touchpoints

Digital: Website, email, social media, mobile app
Human: Sales calls, support chats, in-person meetings
Physical: Product, packaging, receipts
Indirect: Reviews, word-of-mouth, news coverage

Using Journey Maps

Journey maps help align teams around customer needs, identify gaps in experience, prioritize improvement efforts, design better onboarding, reduce churn points, and create consistent messaging across channels.

CRM’s Role

CRM systems track the customer journey by recording all interactions, enabling personalized experiences based on stage, and automating appropriate communications for each phase.
